Keeping dreams alive and budgets intact
Q Premium Natural Quartz is MSI's engineered quartz line, and it is the surface we show first when somebody wants range. M S International is one of the largest nationwide distributors of flooring, wall and countertop surfaces in the United States, and the practical consequence of that scale is colour: Q runs more colours and colourways than any other surface we carry, which matters when you are trying to match a cabinet finish you have already fallen for.
MSI describes the line as low-maintenance, stain-resistant and “nearly indestructible”. What that means day to day is that it is engineered rather than quarried, so it is non-porous — it does not need sealing, it does not absorb liquid, and it does not harbour what liquid would otherwise leave behind.
Where it sits against the others
We carry six quartz surfaces, and they are genuinely different choices rather than six badges on the same slab. Q is the range option. Cambria is American-made, family-owned, and carries a transferable Full Lifetime Warranty. Silestone is the original, now made with Cosentino's low-silica HybriQ+ technology. Vadara leans toward warm, nature-inspired stone looks; Viatera is made in Georgia by LX Hausys; and Nouvel is Bedrosians' ultra-low silica line in large, bookmatched slabs. What Q is good at
Colour range
Trendsetting colours and colourways, and more of them than anything else on our floor. If you have already chosen a cabinet finish and need the counter to work with it rather than fight it, this is where we start looking.
Non-porous, so no sealing
Engineered quartz absorbs nothing, which means no annual sealing and no polishing — unlike granite and marble, which generally need both. Warm water and mild soap is the whole maintenance routine.
Stain resistant in a working kitchen
Wine, oil, coffee and citrus are what actually happen to a countertop. A non-absorbent surface is the difference between wiping those up and living with them.
Suits more than the kitchen
The same line works for bathroom vanities, bar tops and tub surrounds, so a whole-house remodel can carry one surface through several rooms without reordering from a different supplier.
Choosing a slab
Quartz photographs badly. Pattern scale in particular — the thing that decides whether a counter reads calm or busy in a real room — is almost impossible to judge from a website thumbnail, because the photograph does not tell you how large the repeat is against a six-foot run. Does quartz need sealing?
No. Engineered quartz is non-porous, so unlike granite and marble it needs no sealing and no polishing. Warm water and mild soap is the whole maintenance routine.

Can quartz be used in a bathroom?
Yes. Q is used for bathroom vanities as well as kitchen countertops, and being non-absorbent makes it well suited to a wet room. The same line can run through several rooms of a whole-house remodel.

Is quartz heat resistant?
Quartz handles everyday kitchen warmth, but no engineered surface should take a pan straight off the burner — use a trivet. Ask us for the manufacturer’s written care guidance for the specific colour you choose.

Can I see the actual slab before it is cut?
Samples are on display at our Anaheim showroom, open Mon–Sat 10am–5pm · Sunday closed. Talk to your designer about viewing full slabs for your project — pattern scale is the thing worth checking at full size.
