A new surface from Bedrosians
Nouvel is the quartz line from Bedrosians Tile & Stone, and Bedrosians presents it as “a fresh vision for modern surfaces”: an ultra-low crystalline silica mineral surface that is meant to perform as well as the quartz it replaces, or better. It is the newest name on our showroom floor.
The range is built around marble and stone looks — Calacatta, Taj, Arabescato and dolomite-style patterns among them — plus a set of cleaner, quieter whites and greys for kitchens that should not shout.
Big slabs and bookmatched veining
Nouvel is made in large formats. Bedrosians lists slabs from 63″ × 126″ up to about 81″ × 139″, in 2 cm and 3 cm thicknesses — big enough to run most islands without a seam. Several colours are offered bookmatched, so two slabs mirror each other across a joint or a feature wall.
Its Imperial Colors carry the pattern through the body of the slab rather than only on the face, which keeps an edge profile or a sink cut-out looking like stone. Finishes include polished, honed, leathered and suede, depending on the colour.

Slabs up to roughly 81″ × 139″ in 2 cm or 3 cm, so long islands and runs need fewer joints.

Bookmatched colours for mirrored veining, and Imperial Colors with the pattern carried through the slab for convincing edges.
Low maintenance
Durable, non-porous and stain resistant, according to Bedrosians, so it needs no sealing and cleans with warm water and mild soap.

Is Nouvel quartz or natural stone?
Nouvel is an engineered surface. Bedrosians calls it Nouvel Quartz, an ultra-low crystalline silica mineral surface, designed to look like marble and natural stone while behaving like quartz.

What does bookmatched mean?
Two slabs cut and finished so their veining mirrors across the joint, like an open book. It is the usual choice for a feature wall, a waterfall edge or a long island with a seam.

Does Nouvel need sealing?
No. Bedrosians describes it as non-porous and stain resistant, so there is no sealing. Clean with warm water and mild soap and use a trivet for hot pans.
